What is the best way to enjoy monsoon? A bowl of healthy khichdi with the pitter-patter of rains is truly the best monsoon meal. Here is an easy recipe for you readers.
1 cup rice 2 cups moong dal 1 tsp olive oil 1 chopped carrots 100 gms beans 1 chopped tomato 1 tsp ginger paste 2 tsp garam masala 1 tsp haldi Salt as required 1 tsp jeera powder Fresh coriander leaves.
In a pressure cooker, heat up olive oil and stir fry the chopped vegetables till they are half cooked.
Add the rice and dal to the cooker, along with all the spices except garam masala. Cook on high flame till 1 whistle, then 2 on low flame.
Let the gas release, and then open the lid. Add garam masala and serve hot!
