Shakarkandi millet tikki is a healthy dish made with sweet potatoes and millet that has been perfectly roasted and then pan-fried to make the outside crispy. A tasty and better snack choice.

2 Boiled sweet potato ½ cup Boiled barnyard millet Sendha Namak as per taste 1 tsp Red chilli powder 1 tsp Amchur powder 1 tsp Anardana 1 tsp Dhaniya powder 1 tsp Garam Masala 2 tsp Fresh mint 1 tbsp Coriander 2 Green chillies chopped 1 tsp Ginger chopped Oil for shallow frying Ghee - as needed
Millets should be cooked in twice as much water for two to three whistles in a pressure cooker. The sweet potatoes should be pressure cooked for four to five whistles, or until soft.

Take the sweet potatoes out of the oven and peel them right away so you can get started mashing them. Sendha namak, red chilli peppers, anardana, amchur powder, dhaniya powder, and garam masala are all great spices to use as seasonings.

Mix and mash everything together by hand. Make tikkis out of it. Put them in a pan with some oil and fry them. Add some ghee while they're cooking.

Serve hot with spicy sauce. Alternatively, you can add any spice you like to the tikkis.
