If you observe a fast on the Mondays (Somwar) in the month of Sawan as per the Hindy calendar, here are some no-salt dishes that you must try.
Potatoes are one of the go-to ingredients while fasting. Cook some boiled potatoes in a curd-based gravy for a healthy and light meal.
Sabudana tikki is another popular vrat-friendly dish that is popularly made during Navratri and Somwar fasts.
To make a colourful salad bowl, you can take chopped beetroot and mix it with other vegetables with a squeeze of lemon.
For a South Indian meal, you can make kuttu dosa with a batter made with kuttu atta, green chillies, water, and sendha namak.
Meethe Pude are traditionally made with wheat flour. But while fasting, you can make them with kutta atta or singhare ka atta.
For a fruit custard, just mix in your favourite fruits in the creamy dessert and you’ll be done.
