Sabudana chilla is a delightful fasting recipe perfect for Sawan. It's crispy and flavourful and made with soaked sabudana and spices.
1 cup sabudana ½ cup water ½ cup boiled and mashed potatoes 2 tbsp roasted peanuts, crushed 2 green chilies, finely chopped ½ tsp cumin seeds ½ tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp black pepper powder Salt to taste Oil for cooking
Rinse sabudana and soak in water for 3-4 hours. Drain excess water.
In a mixing bowl, combine soaked sabudana, mashed potatoes, crushed peanuts, green chilies, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, and salt. Mix well.
In a greased, non-stick pan, pour a ladleful of sabudana mixture onto the pan, spread it gently to form a round flattened chilla.
Cook on medium flame until golden brown and crispy on both sides, adding oil as needed. Serve hot with dahi or chutney.
