Mango Kesari is a delicious Indian dessert made with semolina, ghee, sugar, and mango puree. Soothing and tasty try out this simple recipe at home.
1 cup semolina (rava/sooji) 1 cup mango puree 1 cup sugar 4 tbsp ghee 1/4 tsp cardamom powder A few saffron strands 2 cups water Cashews and raisins
Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a pan. Add cashews and raisins and sauté until they turn golden brown.
In a pan add semolina and roast it until it turns light golden brown. In a separate pan boil 2 cups of water.
Add the water to the roasted semolina slowly, stirring continuously to avoid any lumps.
Cook the until it thickens and absorbs the water. Add the mango puree to the semolina mixture and stir well.
Add sugar, cardamom powder, saffron strands and the ghee to the pan. Mix everything.
When it’s done, Garnish with roasted cashews and raisins. Serve warm and enjoy!
