Need a beverage rich in protein and fibre to go with your breakfast? Your quest will end with the recipe for sattu milkshake. The dry and roasted mixture of grains, dry fruits, and chickpea flour is a desi recipe for a protein powder that is rich in other essential nutrients. Note the recipe for milkshake.
2 tbsp grated jaggery 4 strands of saffron 1 cup sattu powder ¼ cup cashews and almonds 1.5 cups coconut milk 1 banana Water as needed ½ tsp cardamom powder
In a saucepan, combine sattu, water, and cardamom powder until you achieve a smooth concoction.
After the mixture comes to a boil, turn down the flame and let it simmer for 4-5 minutes.
Start adding coconut milk to the mixture gradually. Keep stirring so that lumps do not form.
After simmering for 2-3 minutes, turn off the flame.
After the mixture has cooled off, pour it into the blender along with a banana.
Add a few ice cubes and blend the ingredients. Enjoy this delicious milkshake with your breakfast.
