A delicious stuffed paratha recipe made using the nutrition-packed sattu flour, these flatbreads are ideal to pair with pickle, yoghurt or even sabzi. Enjoy these parathas with a generous dollop of butter and kickstart your day with a breakfast which will keep you going.
1 cup roasted sattu flour 2 cups wheat flour 1 teaspoon carrom seeds 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 tablespoon mustard oil 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 2 green chillies, finely chopped Juice of ½ lemon Salt, to taste Water, for kneading Ghee, for applying
Knead the wheat flour into a smooth dough by mixing in the carrom seeds, vegetable oil and water.
Set aside to rest for 15-20 minutes while you combine the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl for the stuffing.
Divide your dough into equal portions and roll one out into a flat disc.
Spoon some of the sattu filling on the centre of the disc and seal all the edges by folding inwards.
Roll out the stuffed ball of dough into a ½-inch thick paratha and cook on a hot tava for 3 minutes on each side.
Apply the ghee and cook the paratha over high heat for it to develop a crisp exterior. Serve hot.
