Balancing taste and nutrition takes finesse. The sweet, starchy dessert provides satisfaction without sacrificing wellness. Easy to make at home, banana bread pudding closes meals on a high note. This simple, scrumptious recipe answers evening cravings in a wholesome way.
For pudding: 4 large breads 1 large banana ¼ cup cashew nuts 2 tablespoons of custard powder 2½ tablespoons sugar 1¾ cups milk ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder ¼ cup chocolate chips ¼ cup raisins ¼ cup tutti frutti A handful of blueberries 2 tablespoons of melted butter For garnish: Chocolate chips Blueberries Raisins Tutti frutti 2 tablespoons of icing sugar Mint sprig
On a baking tray, cut the breads and bake them at 140°C for 12 to 15 minutes.
Peel and cut bananas and roughly blend in a blender with cashew nuts, custard powder, sugar milk, and cinnamon powder.
Transfer the baked bread to a bowl and sprinkle chocolate chips, raisins, tutti fruity, and blueberries on it. Pour the banana mixture into the bowl.
Then, in the ramekins, brush melted butter and pour the pudding inside. Top the pudding with chocolate chips, raisins, tutti fruity, and blueberries.
Place the ramekins on a baking tray and pour water into the tray. Then bake them at 180 °C for about 35 to 40 minutes.
Take the pudding out of the oven and serve it hot.
