People from adults to children love sweets of different varieties during festivities. Giving sweets and exchanging gift boxes filled with sweets is a long-lasting tradition in India during celebrations. Try this recipe to impress your guests!
1 cup khoya (milk solids) 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder A few strands of saffron 1 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter) Chopped pistachios or almonds for garnish
Combine khoya, powdered sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron-infused milk. Cook until thickened.
Add ghee and stir until the mixture becomes smooth.
Pour the mixture into a greased mould and let it cool completely.
Cut the barfi into squares and garnish with chopped pistachios or almonds.
