Sabudana vada in thalipeeth (flatbread) form, with all the delectable ingredients. This is a well-known Maharashtrian recipe for a snack that is consumed during fasts like the Navratri vrat.
1 cup Sabudana 1 ½ cup Potatoes tightly peeled and boiled ½ cup Peanuts Roasted and Roughly crushed 2 Green chilies chopped 4 tbsp coriander leaves 2 tsp Cumin seed 3 tsp Lemon juice 3 tsp Sugar Rock salt Peanut oil
Place sabudana in a container and wash with cold water while it is running. The pearls should be rubbed to get rid of all starch.
Next, soak for 3 to 4 hours or overnight in the water. Sabudana should be placed in the container to drain any extra water.
Dry roast the peanuts in a pan over medium heat, stirring frequently, until they turn golden brown, while the sabudana is draining.
Now once they are cool crush them and store in a bowl. Mix them well and make a dough.
If they are loose, add any fasting flour to combine them nicely. Divide in equal parts and make balls.
Now take oil or ghee grease aluminium foil or plastic, put that ball on top of it. Press it and make a round roti like structure.
Heat pan with oil and cook until golden brown. Flip cook, serve with curd or any other sides enjoy!
