S. Jaishankar, who is currently the Minister of External Affairs of India, is known for his diplomacy skills. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and currently, he is also a part of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 campaigns.
In a recent interview, S. Jaishankar was asked about his favourite cuisine. Being married to Kyoko Jaishankar, who is of Japanese descent, the politician said his favourite cuisine is also Japanese. Know more about his favourite dishes.
The minister said that in Japanese cuisine, he loves to relish sushi. It includes rice and seaweed rolled with seafood, meat, and vegetables.
Japanese ramen is less spicy than Korean ramen, another favourite of S. Jaishankar is also a must-try. The noodle soup is often served with eggs, green onions, and meat of your choice.
It is a savoury pancake often prepared in Japan using grated yam, flour batter, shredded cabbage, and eggs. It is cooked on the grill.
S. Jaishankar also loves katsu curry, which is considered a comforting dish featuring deep-fried meat served with Japanese curry sauce. It also contains potatoes, onions, and carrots.
It is a Japanese snack prepared with rice, grilled salmon, seaweed, and pickled plum. It is either shaped into triangles or wrapped in seaweed.
