If you're looking to gain weight, incorporating high-calorie foods into your diet can be beneficial. These foods are rich in nutrients and provide the necessary energy to support healthy weight gain.

Rice

Rice is a source of carbohydrates that is quite high in calories and will be of substantial assistance to someone who is trying to gain weight.

Potatoes

Starchy foods like potatoes, quinoa, oats, squash, and winter root vegetables provide more calories and carbohydrates. They also boost your muscle glycogen levels, which you can use as fuel for exercise and other activities.

Whole Grain Bread

Whole-grain bread provides calories and carbohydrates. Additionally, whole grain bread has more beneficial calories per serving. So, if you're trying to bulk up or pack on muscle, you need to choose whole-grain bread products with at least 3 grams of fibre per serving.

Red Meats

They are also a great way to get the muscle-building substance creatine into your diet. However, if you have the option, select meats with a higher fat content. They contribute extra calories and weight.

Nuts

A few handfuls of nuts per day can provide you with hundreds of calories and help you gain weight in a healthy way because of their high calorie density. Protein, vitamins, minerals, fibre, and heart-healthy fats are also abundant in these foods.

Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate, in contrast to milk chocolate, is quite calorically dense. However, it has fewer calories, less sugar, more fibre, and more magnesium.

Eggs

Besides being high in calories, protein, and healthy fats, eggs are also a wonderful source of vitamin D. Almost all of the essential micronutrients for human health can be found in these foods as well. Therefore, they are quite helpful in promoting healthy weight growth and muscle development.
