Red Velvet Cake: Make This Delight At Home

Ingredients

2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup cornstarch 2 tbsp cocoa powder   1 tsp baking soda 3/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup unsalted butter 2 and 1/8 cups granulated sugar 1 cup vegetable oil 3 eggs 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 and 1/4 tsp distilled wine vinegar 2-3 tbsp red food colouring 1 cup buttermilk 

Step 1

Take a bowl and sift flour, cornstarch, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set it aside. 

Step 2

Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add oil and beat. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix well. 

Step 3

Add vanilla and vinegar and beat until combined. Also, add red food coloring, until desired color is reached.  

Step 4

Add half of the dry ingredients and beat. Add buttermilk and the rest of the dry ingredients. Do not over mix. 

Step 5

Bake for 30-35 minutes in an oven at 180-degree Celsius. Do a toothpick test and your cake is ready. Frost it as you like and serve.
