The fruit, that is often treated as a vegetable can be a perfect addition to your breakfast dishes. Load up on tomato dosa, idli, parathas and more. 

Tomato Cheela

The crispy, savoury crepe made with besan is a common breakfast dish. Add chopped tomatoes and onions along with spices and pour the batter on the pan. 

Tomato Dosa 

Dosa is a South Indian breakfast staple that can be made in various ways. Mashed tomatoes mixed in the batter lend it a reddish hue and tangy flavour. 

Tomato Poori 

The deep-fried Indian puffed bread is a perfect side for curries. However, to make it complete in itself, add tomatoes to the dough and the flavour will leave you tantalized. 

Tomato Poha 

Made with flattened rice, poha is another classic breakfast dish that is spruced up with potatoes, onions and other veggies. The addition of tomatoes makes it tangy. 

Tomato Idlis 

Here, instead of the idli batter, a tomato curry is prepared and the steamed rice cakes are cooked in it. This infuses the flavour of the curry in the idlis.
