Move over the usual aam panna, achaar or dal, this quick and easy raw mango namkeen is the perfect snack to munch on this summer.
2 raw mangoes (peeled and chopped into small pieces) Handful of mint leaves 1/2 tbsp Coriander leaves (chopped) 2 Green chillies A pinch of salt 2 tsp Cumin powder (roasted) 2 tsp Chaat masala 1 bowl gram flour (besan) 1 tsp Red chilli powder 2 tsp Salt 2 tsp Garam masala Oil, as needed
First place the mango pieces in a grinding jar and add mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chillies, salt, roasted cumin powder, and chaat masala.
Grind them to obtain a smooth paste. Then, sieve the puree and transfer it to a bowl.
Now add a bowl of gram flour to the puree and mix while whisking to create a fluffy mixture. Add a little red chilli powder, salt, and garam masala to the mixture and mix well.
Now take a bowl, wrap a thin cloth to cover it completely and make tiny holes with a pin in the cloth. Transfer the gram flour and mango mix to the cloth.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the namkeen on a low-medium flame through the cloth sieve. Serve hot or store in an airtight jar.
