Before going on the Rath Yatra, Lord Jgannath is served khichudi and labra as breakfast.
After the Yatra, when He is tired, malpua, narikel naru, jilipi and other sweet dishes are served.
Seasonal vegetables like brinjal and okra are made into bhaja dishes for Lord Jagannath.
Another favourite of Lord Jagannath is pitha, made with lots of coconut.
Served to Him as well as His devotees as prasad, khaja is known to be His favourite dish.
Foreign veggies like potato, tomato and cabbage are not served as a part of Chhappan bhog.
