It's normal to feel tired when keeping the day long fast. When people break their fast at suhoor or iftar during Ramadan, they should also keep the healthy bites coming. These protein-packed bites are a great way to stay full and energised during Ramadan.
2 boiled potatoes 100g paneer 1 tbsp hung curd Chopped green chilli (to taste) Fresh coriander leaves (as desired) Handful of makhana (fox nuts) Some cashews Salt (to taste) Pepper (to taste) Oil (for greasing hands and frying)
In a mixing bowl, mash the boiled potatoes. Add in crumbled paneer and full tablespoon of hung curd. Mix in chopped green chilli and fresh coriander leaves. Take a handful of makhana and some cashews. Dry roast them and blend to a fine powder. Add about a tablespoon full of this makhana-cashew powder to the mixing bowl
Season the mixture with salt and pepper according to taste. Mash and mix everything well to form a uniform mixture. Grease your hands with some oil, take small portions of the mixture, and roll them into balls.
Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry or deep fry the balls until golden brown and crisp from all sides. Drain excess oil on paper towels. Serve the crispy paneer-potato balls hot with green chutney and curd on the side. Enjoy!
