Celebrate the holy month of Ramadan with the aromatic and flavourful Chicken Korma, a special dish cherished during the fasting month for its rich taste and comforting warmth.
500g chicken, cut into pieces 2 onions, finely chopped 2 tomatoes, pureed ½ cup yoghurt 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon garam masala 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder Salt to taste Fresh coriander leaves for garnish Cooking oil Saffron strands (optional)
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
Add chicken pieces and brown them on all sides. Add tomato puree, yoghurt, and spices. Cook until the chicken is tender, and the gravy thickens.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and saffron strands. Serve hot with rice or naan. Enjoy the divine flavours of Ramadan with Chicken Korma!
