As Ramadan begins from 11th March, keeping yourself well-hydrated is of the utmost importance during Ramadan, particularly when you're fasting from sunrise to sunset. Staying hydrated and nourished throughout this holy month is easy with some careful preparation and deliberate decisions.
Start and break your fast with water-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, and soups to replenish fluids.
Incorporate hydrating beverages like coconut water and herbal teas during non-fasting hours to maintain fluid balance.
Include foods high in electrolytes, such as bananas, dates, yoghurt, and leafy greens, to replenish essential minerals lost through sweating.
Consume fluids gradually throughout non-fasting hours to prevent dehydration and fatigue during fasting periods.
Limit caffeinated and sugary beverages, as they can contribute to dehydration and energy crashes.
