Ramadan is a sacred month and Muslim people observes fast and offers prayers to Allah. Muslims observes fast from dawn to dusk for a month. They do sehri and iftar two times a day. During this period, they indulge in nutritious and hydrating food. Egg dishes seem to be a common food for them. Here are some egg dishes that you can enjoy during your sehri and iftar:
To make this, hard boiled eggs are simmered in a rich and spicy tomato-based gravy, flavoured with onions, garlic, ginger, chilles and a blend of Indian spices and herbs. Pair it with roti or pulao.
This dhaba style egg korma can be easily made at home. Boil eggs and cook them in a spicy and aromatic gravy made with onions, cashews, yoghurt and a blend of spices. Serve it with naan or rice.
This is a dum-style biryani which can be made in an earthen pot or pressure cooker. Boil and make slits on the surface of the eggs, marinade them and toss them in ghee. To it, add veggies, soaked rice, spices and herbs. Slow cook to perfection.
Scrambled eggs cooked with onions, tomatoes, green chillies, and spices. This easy dish can be paired with bread or used as a filling for wraps and rolls.
The street-style egg paratha can be made by putting beaten eggs on a soft and partially cooked paratha which is then cooked with oil and served with pickle.
Boiled eggs are dipped in spiced besan batter and deep-fried until crispy and golden brown.
