1 cup basmati rice 1 cup cooked rajma (boil them in kettle with some salt) 1 large onion 2 cloves garlic 1 inch ginger 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder Salt to taste 2 cups water 1 tablespoon oil
Heat oil in a kettle. Cook cumin seeds, onion, garlic, ginger, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and turmeric powder.
Add washed rice and cooked rajma to the pan. Mix well.
Pour water and boil. Ensure the water level is about 1 inch above the rice.
Bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot with raita.
