The pleasure of eating fried food as it rains outside is inexplicable. Among a variety of street foods, aloo tikki is a must-have at least once in this weather. Here is a quick recipe for you to make crispy aloo tikki at home.
4 boiled potatoes 1 tbsp coriander powder 2 tbsp rice flour 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp cumin powder 1-2 tsp red chilli powder ½ tbsp grated ginger 1-2 chopped green chillies 1 cup boiled peas (optional) Salt to taste Oil for frying
First, wash the potatoes and pressure cook them. Wait for 1-2 whistles.
After the potatoes cool off, remove the skin and mash or crumble them in a bowl.
Add salt to taste, ginger, and spices to potatoes. Mix the ingredients nicely.
Add rice flour and knead the mixture again. Grease your palms with oil and make small tikkis with the potato mix.
In a heavy bottom pan, heat oil for frying. Dip tikkis in it without overcrowding it.
Once the tikki turns golden brown and crispy, take them out on a tissue and serve them hot.
