Murukku is a traditional South Indian snack that can be made with millet. If you want to have a crispy gluten-free snack to pair with your cup of chai, here’s a quick recipe you can follow.
1 cup ragi flour 1/4 cup water 1 tablespoon oil 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon hing
Knead a dough by mixing ragi flour, salt, cumin seeds, hing, and water.
Once smooth, let the dough rest for at least 30 minutes.
Heat some oil. Take small portions of the dough and roll them into thin and long ropes.
Press the ropes into a murukku press and deep-fry them till crispy.
Drain extra oil, let them cool, and enjoy.
