Murmura, also known as puffed rice is a common snack in Indian household since ages. This naturally healthy snack can be made even more nutritious with this simple tweak. Here's a recipe for you to try:
1 cup ragi flour 2 cups puffed rice (murmura) 2 tablespoons ghee 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder Salt to taste
In a pan over medium heat, heat the ghee. Stir in the ragi flour and cook, stirring constantly, until the flour takes on a tiny colour change and becomes fragrant.
Stir the roasted ragi flour into the pan along with the puffed rice.
Add salt, red chilli powder, and turmeric powder to the mixture. Coat the puffed rice evenly with the spices by giving it a good stir.
Remove the mixture from the heat source and let it cool. Enjoy as a nutritious snack after storing in an airtight container.
