Ragi Manni is a delicious and nutritious dessert made with finger millet, jaggery, and coconut milk. Its smooth and rich texture, combined with the subtle flavours of cardamom, make it a delightful treat for all.
To make Ragi Milk 1 ½ cups Finger Millet or Ragi 2 cups Water For Ragi Manni 2 cups Ragi Milk 2 cups Coconut Milk 1 ½ cups Jaggery ¼ tsp Salt 1 tbsp Ghee + more to grease ½ tsp Cardamom powder
Soak 1 ½ cups of Finger Millet in water for 8 hours.
Blend soaked ragi with 1 cup of water and strain to extract ragi milk. Blend the remaining ragi grits with 1 cup of water and strain again.
In a pan, mix Ragi Milk, Coconut Milk, Jaggery, Salt, and Ghee. Stir until glossy.
Reduce the flame to medium-low and stir for 10-15 minutes. Add ½ tsp Cardamom powder and mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a greased tray and let it cool for 2 hours. Cut into desired shapes and store in the refrigerator. Enjoy chilled.
