Quinoa Khichdi: Quick And Healthy Millet Recipe

Quinoa being the super millet, and khichdi being the go-to one-pot meal when you want to eat something light, quinoa khichdi is just perfect in so many ways. Why don’t you try making it with this easy recipe?

Ingredients

1 cup quinoa, rinsed 1 cup toor dal 1 onion 1 tablespoon ghee 1 inch piece ginger, grated 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder Salt to taste Water as needed

Step 1

Rinse quinoa and toor dal. Heat some ghee in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds.

Step 2

Once they splutter, add onion and ginger. Stir in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt.

Step 3

Add quinoa, dal, and water.  Pressure cook for 20 minutes.

Turn off the heat and let the cooker release. Garnish with ghee and serve hot.
