Beetroot dosa is an impeccable way of adding a vibrant colour and nutrition to your breakfast. Combined with the goodness of fermented dosa batter and fibrous beetroot, you must try this recipe.
1 cup urad dal 2 cups rice 1 beetroot 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 inch ginger 2 red chillies 1/2 tsp hing Oil for greasing
Soak urad dal and rice separately. Grind them, add salt, mix well, and let the batter ferment.
Chop a beetroot into cubes. Grind it with cumin seeds, ginger, and red chillies to make a paste.
Add the beetroot paste to the fermented batter with a pinch of hing.
Heat a pan, grease it with oil, and pour a spoonful of batter, spreading it in a circle.
Cook till the bottom is crisp. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Transfer the beetroot dosa to a plate and enjoy with chutney and sambar.
