Lauki Paratha is a nutritious and tasty Indian flatbread, perfect for snack time. Made with bottle gourd (lauki) and whole wheat flour, it's a healthy and easy option. Here's a quick recipe.
1 cup grated lauki 2 cups whole wheat flour 1 tablespoon gram flour (besan) 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds 1 teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain) 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon of coriander powder 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander 1 green chilli, finely chopped Salt to taste Oil or ghee for cooking
In a bowl, add grated lauki, flour, spices, and salt, and add water to knead a soft dough.
Let the dough rest for 10–15 minutes.
Divide the dough into equal balls and roll each into a 6-inch circle.
Heat a tawa and cook it with a bit of oil or ghee until golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot with yoghurt or pickles.
