By now everyone's familiar with almond milk, but did you know that you can make dairy-free milk out of other nuts too? This beautiful and delicious pistachio milk is simple and healthy.
1 cup pistachios 4 cups water Optional: vanilla extract, maple syrup, salt
Remove the shells and soak the pistachios in water for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
Drain them well then add the pistachios and water to a blender and blend until smooth.
Strain the milk through a cheesecloth-lined strainer or nut milk bag. Discard the solids and enjoy your vegan pistachio milk!
You can add vanilla extract, maple syrup, or salt to taste.
