Pesto pasta is an easy and quick dish to prepare, perfect for busy days. With just a few ingredients—basil, garlic, olive oil, parmesan, and pine nuts—it comes together in minutes. Toss with cooked pasta, and you have a delicious meal ready effortlessly.
300 gms pasta 2 cups fresh basil leaves 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/3 cup pine nuts or walnuts 2 garlic cloves 1/2 cup olive oil Salt Pepper
Boil water in a large pot, add a pinch of salt, and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water for later use.
In a food processor or blender, add the fresh basil leaves, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, and garlic.
Pulse until the ingredients are finely chopped. Slowly pour in the olive oil until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Toss the cooked pasta with the prepared pesto sauce. Add a little reserved pasta water if needed for a smoother consistency.
