One of the easiest and quickest recipes you can make in any weather is moong dal khichdi. Even if you are not feeling well and alone, this khichdi can be your saviour as it is lightweight, nutritious, and delicious. Here is its quick recipe.
½ cup moong dal 1 cup rice 1 tsp cumin seeds 1-2 dry red chillies Salt to taste 1 slit green chilli 2 tbsp ghee Water as required
Rinse and soak dal and rice in separate containers for at least half an hour.
Drain the water and pour the ingredients into the pressure cooker.
Add water as required, salt to taste, slit green chillies, and ghee to the cooker.
Cook the ingredients until you hear 3-4 whistles. Turn off the flame and wait for the cooker to release the pressure.
Temper the khichdi with ghee, cumin seeds, and dry red chillies. You can also add curry leaves if you wish to.
Enjoy the khichdi hot with dal papad, curd, and lemon pickle.
