Quick And Easy Moong Dal Chilla For A Healthy Breakfast

Moong dal chilla is a light, protein-packed breakfast option that's both tasty and nutritious. Made from soaked and ground moong dal, this savoury pancake is spiced with green chillies and coriander, offering a perfect balance of taste and health to kickstart your day.

Ingredients

1 cup moong dal (split green gram), soaked for 3-4 hours 1/4 cup water 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1-2 green chillies Fresh coriander leaves, chopped Oil Salt 

Step 1

Drain the soaked moong dal and blend it with water to form a smooth batter.

Step 2

Add turmeric, salt, green chillies, and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.

Step 3

Heat a non-stick pan on medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.

Step 4

Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it evenly in a circular shape.

Step 5

Drizzle a few drops of oil around the chilla, cook until the edges turn golden, then flip and cook the other side.

Step 6

Serve hot with chutney or yoghurt.
