2 cups wheat flour 1 cup methi leaves ( fenugreek ) 1/4 cup yoghurt 1/2 tsp turmeric 1 tsp ginger paste 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder 1/2 tsp carom seeds Oil
In a bowl add wheat flour and chopped methi leaves. Add ¼ cup of curd to remove the bitterness from the methi leaves.
Add the spices, 2 tsp of oil and mix well. Add some water and knead the dough. Cover it with moist cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Now pinch a medium sized dough ball, roll and flatten it. Dust some wheat flour on it and roll using a rolling pin.
Grease the dough with ghee or oil. Bundle it up and then flatten it. Roll it to form a thick circle like paratha.
Now on a hot tawa place the rolled paratha and cook for a minute. When the base is partly cooked, flip the methi paratha.
Brush oil or ghee on the paratha and press slightly. Serve the methi paratha with raita and pickle.
