Create a delightful and homemade guava jelly with this easy recipe. This guava jelly is a must-try for any home cook, perfect for spreading on toast or adding to desserts.
12 very ripe guavas 5 cups water (enough to cover the fruit) Sugar Lime juice or lemon juice
Dice the guavas into one-inch cubes. Place the guava cubes in a large saucepan and cover with water.
Cover and cook until the guavas are very tender, about 30 minutes. Cool the mixture, then strain through a muslin cloth to collect the juice.
Add one cup of sugar and one tablespoon of lime juice for each cup of liquid. Boil the mixture, then reduce heat and cook until the jelly thickens.
Let the jelly stand for 30 minutes, then pour into jars and seal.
