Quick And Easy Beetroot Jam For Breakfast

Beetroot Jam is a naturally sweet spread that's both nutritious and delicious. The earthy sweetness of beetroot is perfect for adding a unique twist to your breakfast or desserts.  It pairs wonderfully with bread, pancakes, or even as a topping for desserts. 

Ingredients

2 medium-sized Beetroots 1 cup sugar 1 tbsp lemon juice 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder 1/2 cup Water

Step 1

Wash, peel, and grate the beetroots finely. In a large pan, add the grated beetroot and water. Cook on medium heat until the beetroot softens.

Step 2

Add the sugar to the pan. Continue cooking on low to medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Step 3

As the mixture thickens, add the lemon juice. This helps in preserving the jam and enhances its flavour.

Step 4

Add the cinnamon and cardamom powders. Continue to cook the jam for another 15-20 minutes.

Step 5

To test, take a small spoonful of jam, cool it slightly, and see if it holds its shape without being too runny.

Step 6

Once done, let the jam cool completely. Transfer to a sterilised glass jar and store in the refrigerator.
