Petha, or pumpkin, is known for its many benefits, like boosting energy, providing antioxidants, improving heart health, and much more. If you don’t like to eat it as a vegetable, perhaps you should try making a dessert out of it. Here’s an easy recipe to make pethe ka halwa.
Petha (pumpkin) - 1 Powdered sugar - 3/4 cup Milk - 3 cups Khoya - 3/4 cup Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon Ghee - 1 teaspoon Cashew nuts - 2 tablespoons
Soak the pumpkin in water for a few hours till it's soft.
Peel the pumpkin and remove its seeds.
Remove extra water from the pumpkin and mash it in medium flame.
Add milk and sugar and mix well till all the milk is absorbed.
Mix in khoya, cardamom powder, and chopped cashew nuts and cook for several minutes.
Top it off with some ghee and cashew nuts, and enjoy the hot halwa.
