Dahi bhalla is a refreshing Punjabi snack. The bhallas made with urad dal are served in a serving of dahi with a sweet hint. Add a spicy green chutney and imli chutney to the snack and dig in!
1 cup urad dal 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds Pinch of salt Oil for frying 2 cups dahi 4 cups water 1 tablespoon green chutney 1 tablespoon tamarind chutney 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds Chopped cilantro for garnish
Soak urad dal and blend it with cumin seeds, ginger paste, and salt.
Deep fry small portions of the batter to make the bhallas and soak them in water.
Whisk dahi and water together and add the soaked bhallas to it, removing the extra water.
Add the green and tamarind chutney with the spices and mix all the contents.
Garnish with pomegranate seeds and cilantro, and your Punjabi snack will be ready.
