While parathas are usually made with assorted veggies or dal, a long lost Punjabi recipe includes sugar as its main ingredient. To make this beloved cheeni ka paratha, follow these easy steps.
1 cup whole wheat flour 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup water 1 tablespoon ghee 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ajwain
Knead a dough with whole wheat flour, sugar, water, salt, and ajwain. Let it rest.
Take small portions and roll them out into thin circles.
Heat a tawa and cook the roti on both sides while brushing it with ghee.
Once cooked on both sides, transfer to a plate and serve hot.
