Missi roti is a staple Punjabi flatbread that is made with whole wheat flour, besan, and a blend of spices. To pair your sabzis or curries, you can make missi roti and enjoy a wholesome meal.
1 cup whole wheat flour ¾ cup besan ½ teaspoon turmeric powder ½ teaspoon black pepper powder ¼ teaspoon ajwain ½ teaspoon amchur Pinch of hing 1 teaspoon kasuri methi ½ teaspoon ginger-garlic paste 1 green chilli ½ onion 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves Salt to taste 1 tablespoon oil Water for kneading
Mix whole wheat flour, besan, spices, chopped vegetables, and oil in a bowl.
Gradually add water and knead a smooth dough.
Take small portions from the dough and roll them into thin circles.
Cook from both sides till golden brown. Garnish with ghee and serve.
