Punjabi Gudumba, Perfect Mango Recipe For Summers

Gudumba means Gur (jaggery) + Amb (raw mango), and is a chatpata, unique version of aam panna that will not just keep you cool in summers but will also aid in digestion too.

Ingredients

1 kg desi mango (washed) Ice cubes 2 cup Jaggery powder 6 tsp sugar 1 tsp salt 1 tsp black pepper powder 1 tsp black salt ½ tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder 15-20 crushed mint leaves

Step 1

To make this, first wash the mangoes well and pressure cook the mangoes till 3 whistles. Add enough water. 

Step 2

Once done, put the mangoes in a bowl. Add enough ice cubes to it and let it cool. Meanwhile, separate the skin from the mangoes. 

Step 3

Mash the mangoes well so the pulp dissolves in water. To the mix, add jaggery powder.

Step 4

Add sugar, salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, black salt, roasted cumin seeds powder and crushed mint leaves. Mix well and enjoy.
