INGREDIENTS [FOR SCONES]

2 + ¼ cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder ¼ cup sugar ¼ cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder 1 pinch nutmeg powder 1 pinch clove powder ½ cup cooked pumpkin, mashed ½ cup cold butter, cubed 1 teaspoon vanilla extract ¼ cup heavy cream 1 pinch salt

INGREDIENTS [FOR ICING]

1 cup powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 tablespoons heavy cream 1 tablespoon melted butter

METHOD

Combine the flour, baking powder, spices and cold butter in a bowl and use your fingers to rub the flour against the butter.

Once you have a mixture that resembles wet sand, set it aside while you combine the mashed pumpkin, heavy cream, vanilla, salt and sugars.
