Scented and flavoured with fresh mint leaves, pudina parathas aren’t just a great option to eat with pickle and yoghurt, but also to carry for packed lunches. Follow this easy recipe to make fresh parathas at home and enjoy eating them even at room temperature.
2 cups whole wheat flour 1 cup fresh mint leaves, finely chopped 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon salt Water, as needed Ghee, for cooking
Combine the whole wheat flour, chopped mint leaves, green chilies, cumin seeds and salt in a bowl.
Add water and knead the mixture into a soft dough and letting it rest for 15-20 minutes.
Divide the dough into equal lemon-sized balls and dust with flour before rolling it out into a circle.
Place a rolled-out paratha onto the hot tawa and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side.
Apply ghee on one side and continue to cook the paratha over high heat until it crisps slightly. Serve hot.
