When you're in the mood for a healthy and filling lunch, make the Murshidabadi favourite, steamed Moong Dal Bhapiyas. This fluffy treat hits the sweet spot between deliciousness and healthfulness.

1 cup soaked yellow moong dal 2 green chilies, roughly chopped 1 inch ginger, roughly chopped ½ cup peas, boiled or frozen 3 tbsp cilantro, finely chopped ¼ tsp asafoetida powder (hing) ¼ tsp turmeric powder salt, to taste 1 tsp fruit salt (eno) ghee, for garnish red chili powder, for garnish

Drain the water from soaked dal. In a blender, add the dal, chillies and ginger piece and make a smooth paste.
To this paste, add all the spices and peas and mix it well. Add the eno and combine it well.
Prepare the steamer, in small bowls or banana leaves, place a dollop of bhapiyas for steaming. Cover the lid and let it steam on medium flame for 10-15 minutes. Once done, drizzle hot ghee and red chilli powder.
