Made with soaked green grams, oats powder, potatoes and a few spices, this yummy cutlet is perfect to treat your kids. Here is an easy recipe to make moong dal cutlet at home.

1 ½ cups whole green grams (soaked overnight and boiled), 1/2 cups oats powder, 1 potato (boiled and grated) 1 onion finely chopped, salt to taste, ½ tsp chaat masala, 2 green chillies, fresh coriander leaves, 2 tbsp oil for deep-frying, green chutney to serve

Take green gram in a bowl and mash it well. Add oats powder, potato, onion, salt and chaat masala and mix well.

Add chillies and coriander leaves and mix well with your hand. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into a tikki. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.

Shallow fry the cutlets on both sides until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Sprinkle chaat masala and serve hot with green chutney.
