Transform ripe bananas into a delightful treat with this Banana Walnut Brownie recipe. Gooey, chocolaty, and packed with walnuts, these brownies are perfect when warm.
1/2 cup butter, softened 1 cup sugar 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 2-3 ripe bananas, mashed (approx 1 cup)
2 eggs 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional) 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Beat butter and sugar until fluffy; add mashed bananas and mix well.
Add baking powder, baking soda, and salt; mix thoroughly. Beat in eggs one at a time.
Stir in cocoa powder and flour; beat until combined. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Spread batter into the greased pan.
Bake for 20 minutes; check with a toothpick. If not clean, bake 3-5 more minutes. Let the brownies cool in the pan.
