Homemade Capsicum Chutney is a delicious red capsicum, coconut, and aromatic spices blend. This vibrant and healthy chutney is perfect as a dip or spread, adding a burst of flavour to any dish.
1 tbsp sesame oil 1 tsp urad dal 1 tsp chana dal 1 tbsp sesame seeds 1 dry red chili 1 pinch asafoetida 6 to 7 curry leaves 1 cup red capsicum, chopped ¼ cup desiccated coconut ½ tsp tamarind ⅓ cup water Salt as required
Heat the sesame oil in a pan and add urad dal, chana dal, and sesame seeds.
Fry the lentils until golden, then add the dry red chili, asafoetida, and curry leaves.
Add the chopped red capsicum and sauté until soft and slightly charred.
Mix in the desiccated coconut and tamarind, and cook for another minute.
Allow the mixture to cool, then blend it with water and salt until smooth.
Serve the chutney fresh with your favourite dishes or store it in the fridge.
