Prepare Restaurant-Style Paneer Butter Masala In Your Kitchen In Just 6 Steps

Discover how to create rich and creamy Paneer Butter Masala at home. This mildly sweet and spicy North Indian curry, topped with fresh cream and butter, is perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

2 tbsp oil 2 tbsp butter 5 cloves 2 cardamom pods 2 onions, sliced 2 cloves garlic 1 inch ginger 3 tomatoes, sliced 15 cashews 1 bay leaf

Ingredients

1 chilli 1 onion, finely chopped ½ tsp turmeric 1 tsp chilli powder ¾ tsp coriander powder ¼ tsp cumin powder & garam masala Salt 1 cup water 2 tbsp cream 16 paneer cubes 1 tsp kasuri methi 2 tbsp chopped coriander

Step 1

Heat 2 tbsp oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large kadai. Add 5 cloves and 2 cardamom pods, sauté until aromatic.

Step 2

Add sliced onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until onions shrink slightly. Add sliced tomatoes and cashews, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Cool the mixture, blend to a smooth paste, and strain to remove seeds and skin. Heat 2 tbsp oil, 2 tbsp butter, 1 bay leaf, and 1 chilli. Sauté until aromatic.

Step 4

Add finely chopped onion, and sauté until golden brown. Add spices and salt, and sauté until aromatic.

Step 5

Mix in the tomato-onion paste. Add water, cream, and paneer cubes. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Finish with kasuri methi and coriander. Serve hot with roti or naan.
