One of the most famous staples of South Indian cuisine is a dosa for which you need to prepare the batter at least 8-10 hours in advance. Instead of the traditional rice and dal mixture, try this rava and urad dal dosa mix.
2 cups rava 1 cup urad dal 1-2 green chillies Oil as needed Salt as needed ¼ tsp asafetida
Soak urad dal for at least a couple of hours before grinding it.
Let it ferment for 6 hours and mix it with rava.
Add water to adjust the consistency of the mixture and sprinkle salt.
Keep the batter aside for 20 minutes for the rava to soak in water.
After adjusting the consistency again, add some of the batter to a hot skillet.
Spread the batter and cook until the base turns crispy. Enjoy the dosa with aloo masala and sambar.
