Prepare Quick And Healthy Homemade Oats Chilla Recipe Under 30 Minutes

Make a nutritious and savoury oats chilla with oats, gram flour, and spices. This easy-to-make pancake is perfect for a healthy breakfast or snack, bringing taste and wellness to your meal.

Ingredients

½ cup roasted rolled oats ½ cup besan (gram flour) ¼ cup finely chopped onion ¼ cup finely chopped tomatoes ¼ tsp cumin or carom seeds (ajwain) ½ inch chopped ginger 1 chopped green chilli ¼ cup chopped coriander leaves ¼ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder ¼ tsp turmeric powder ¾ cup water (adjust as needed) Salt to taste Oil as needed

Step 1

Grind ½ cup roasted oats into a fine powder using a mixer. In a bowl, mix ground oats and ½ cup besan.

Step 2

Add onion, tomato, cumin seeds, ginger, green chilli, coriander, chilli powder, turmeric, and salt.

Step 3

Pour ¾ cup water gradually, whisking to achieve a smooth batter.

Step 4

Heat a pan on low flame and spread a little oil if needed. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan, spreading it gently to form a chilla.

Step 5

Cook until the top sets, then drizzle ½ tsp oil around the edges. Flip and cook until golden.

Step 6

Fold and serve the oats chilla warm. Pair it with chutney or tomato sauce for extra flavour!
