Freshly made pomegranate juice is not only tastier than store-bought but it’s also packed with antioxidants like Vitamin C. This simple, step-by-step guide shows you how to prepare this healthy drink at home.
6 large pomegranates 1 tbsp sugar (optional) 1 cup water
Rinse the pomegranates and cut a thin slice from the top of each one.
Cut the pomegranates into four quarters and place them in a bowl of water.
Separate the seeds (arils) in the water, letting the pith float to the top.
Drain the water using a strainer, leaving only the pomegranate seeds.
Add the seeds to a blender and blend them lightly to avoid a gritty texture.
Strain the blended mixture using a fine mesh strainer and press to extract all the juice.
Pour the freshly extracted pomegranate juice into glasses and serve immediately.
